Data can be a powerful tool for empowering grassroots environmental campaigners and for telling powerful stories of hopes, threats, and injustices in order to build a better world for people and planet.  We want to appoint an Environmental Data Lead to develop our skills in this area, build-on our existing data products (e.g. https://takeclimateaction.uk/near-you), and to grow a network of volunteer data enthusiasts to build capacity and extend reach. 

As well as having expertise in using data tools for statistical analysis and display (such as SQL, R, Python, Excel, QGIS), you will also need to be a great team worker building strong relationships with others across the organisation and across the wider data community. You’ll need to demonstrate that you are passionate about using data to make a meaningful impact on the climate and ecological emergency and for addressing environmental injustices.
