On 31 May 2023 (14:00 CEST | UTC+2), the SAICM Secretariat and the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership is hosting a discussion on best practices for responsible chemical and waste management in companies and SMEs.
The chemicals industry plays a critical role in driving economic growth and innovation around the world. However, the production and use of chemicals can also have significant environmental and health impacts, particularly if not managed responsibly. As such, it is essential that companies producing and using chemicals, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), are equipped with the knowledge and support necessary to manage chemicals and waste in a sustainable and responsible manner.
Discussion Questions

- How have you collaborated (e.g., verbal, informal, formal collaborations) with other companies, industry associations, and government agencies to address common challenges related to chemicals and waste management, and what benefits have you seen from these collaborations?
- How have changes in regulations and market demand influenced your chemicals and waste management practices, and how have you adapted your business strategies in response to these changes?
