Description

The Freshwater CBC Program Coordinator will play a critical role in providingsupport in planning and implementing the fCBC Program. They will serve as the central coordinator for the fCBC program and collaboratively develop and implement project management processes, procedures, timelines, and databases to ensure the project team executes on deliverables within available resourcesand timelines. They will facilitate collaboration and coordination among Program team membersand between the Freshwater CBC team, Business Units, and local and external partners; track deliverables and associated budget; support grant proposal development, writing, and final report preparation; manage annual workplan development and coordination; support contract development and tracking; and supportstrategic communications and outreach plans. The coordinator will provide technical support to individual projects as needed, including research, writing, data entry, and database management. They will support reporting on organizational metrics for the Freshwater CBC team and for select projects in Latin America and Africa.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE

  • Works closely with multi-disciplinary administrative and professional staff at TNC and partner organizations.
  • Creates and maintains systems for coordinating the activities of the core Program staff, as well as collaborations with staff and partners in other Business Units and organizations.
  • Tracks grant deliverables and supports development of annual and final reports.
  • Tracks spending on grants and coordinates spending updates with multiple Business Units.
  • Provides research, subject matter expertise, or other technical assistance to various workstreams, which may include spatial analysis of Freshwater CBC; solutions to address mining and associated contamination; gender and equity; monitoring, evaluation, and learning; freshwater fisheries; source water protection; and others.
  • Develops, reviews, and executes contracts with outside vendors.
  • Leads in planning and implementing workshops andtraining, both virtual and in-person (subject to Covid restrictions).
  • Ensures program compliance with internal policies and external requirements.
  • Under minimal supervision, makes independent decisions based on analysis, experience,and context.
  • May work in variable weather conditions, at remote locations, on difficult and hazardous terrain and under physically demanding circumstances.
