Greenpeace International is looking for an Engagement Systems Community Manager to develop, facilitate and energise the network’s global communities of engagement system users. By providing inspiring messaging, thought leadership and technical content, you’ll generate enthusiasm for our tools, communicate product capabilities, upgrades, roadmaps and benefits – and ultimately empower our teams to have their greatest impact. Reporting directly to the Head of Engagement Systems and working closely with the global product team, in particular Technical Product Owners, you’ll also perform an essential networking role, ensuring effective collaboration with and between the community of National/Regional Organisations (NROs).

In this role you will:

  • Moderate, engage and support communities of Greenpeace technology practitioners and represent Greenpeace engagement systems to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate product features, capabilities and benefits through presentations, architecture diagrams, (info)graphics/illustrations, videos, solution guides, case studies, blog posts, etc.
  • Promote local NRO innovations and developments that improve or extend product utility,  ensuring the community are fully aware of emergent practice.
  • Work closely with the product team(s) to ensure that NRO training needs are identified and met – and that bugs and support requests are managed in a timely fashion.
  • Encourage the adoption, integration and use of the full suite of globally shared engagement systems, as part of the vision for broader engagement and impact.
  • Serve as a liaison between the practitioner community, product vendors and Global IT.
  • Validate bug reports and evaluate feature requests raised by the community, relaying key information to vendors and working with practitioners to find solutions.
  • Work closely with the Campaigns and Engagement teams to translate strategic thinking into practical capacity building for NROs, through technical and tactical trainings and workshops.
  • Conduct initial testing on developed features and help organise User Acceptance Testing.
  • Ensure that up to date documentation is available and maintained.
  • Support the NRO project team with understanding the capabilities of the tool, dealing with change management processes, and general project delivery.
  • Ensure that the knowledge and skills of the global product team, relevant vendors, and the global community are appropriately leveraged to support implementations.
  • Support NROs through the product launch, validating their operational readiness and ensuring the best conditions for smooth deployment of the solution.
