Description

The Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Network (BES-Net) is a global initiative that strives to build capacity and accelerate coordinated action of policymakers, scientists and practitioners for biodiversity conservation.

The project supports countries in translating the latest assessments, guides and tools generated by the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) into tangible action at regional, national and local levels to help deliver healthier and more resilient ecosystems. BES-Net is hosted by UNDP’s Nature Hub team based in Nairobi, Kenya, and implemented within the framework of UNDP’s Nature Pledge and by a consortium of UNDP, UNEP World Conservation Monitoring Centre (WCMC) and UNESCO with the financial support of the Government of Germany and SwedBio.
