At The Rainforest Alliance, we are looking for a resourceful and results oriented individual to join the US and Canada Key Markets and Retail team within RA’s Markets Transformation Department. The Markets Transformation Department drives forward the organization vision, positioning Rainforest Alliance as a sustainability leader across priority markets (including the US and Canada). This person can be based out of one of RA’s three US offices (New York, DC or Vermont), or work remotely via a home office. The Senior Associate will collaborate with various departments across RA to support the US and Canada team goals. They will also be a point of contact for various external stakeholders in the US and Canada. They are detail-oriented, a team player and flexible to changing priorities within a global, fast-paced, diverse organization.

The Senior Associate will support the efforts to position Rainforest Alliance as a sustainability partner of choice and thought leader in the US and Canada. They will work with select key partners on opportunities for certification, marketing, supply chain interventions and/or tailored solutions. They will be an important piece of a team driving collaboration and change that matters for people and for the environment.

Responsibilities:

• Relationship Management: Work closely with Key Markets and Retail managers and other internal teams to support engagement with key partners in the US and Canada; serve as point of contact for some priority partnerships in the US and Canada; guide relevant supply chain actors toward the successful implementation of the new certification program
• Event Coordination: Serve as primary point of contact internally and externally for US and Canada events; Coordinate speaking engagements, event participation and collaboration with event hosts
• Strategic Support: Support the US and Canada team in driving uptake of Rainforest Alliance’s sustainability solutions, strengthening the organization’s brand recognition, and influencing industry partners
• Analysis: The US and Canada team pulls data from internal and external resources to assess market dynamics, key partnerships and the presence of Rainforest Alliance certified products. This person would provide analysis of and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for the US and Canada markets
• External Platform Engagement: Engage with external stakeholders, platforms and initiatives related to Key Markets work, such as the Sustainable Coffee Challenge
• Resource Coordination: Drive process improvement and streamline resources for partner companies
