The Web Specialist will help to design, build and scale, and maintain our web presence while creating experiences that support our global network and impact. This position will play an integral role in optimizing our web platforms and finding solutions within our technical toolset, while also understanding how to translate the needs of our network into on-brand and user-centric digital experiences.

To accomplish these goals, the Web Specialist will develop expertise in our tools and technology and will assist with the transition of web tools and software to support our growing organization and network. This individual is detail-oriented, communicative, data-driven, and can manage both technical and design thought processes and implications.

Being a key player in the organization’s web evolution and technology growth, the Web Specialist will become a knowledgeable leader in web standards, design best practices, web metrics that support decision-making, develop expertise in technology integrations, and will support internal training and education of web content creators and designers. Ultimately, the Web Specialist will align the overall mission and organizational goals with best-in-class web and technology solutions.

Key responsibilities:

  • Make website edits and optimizations across various web platforms
  • Design assets from initial concept (wireframes, mockups, and prototypes) to final delivery (web-optimized assets and pages)
  • Collaborate closely between marketing and all teams, and especially the Business Systems & Innovation team
  • Collaborate with graphic designers to create web-optimized assets as needed
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and external partners to create best-in-class web content that will help support and grow our global network
  • Maintain and implement brand guidelines across web presence
  • Utilize SEO to optimize web content
  • Develop expertise in marketing technology tools and tech stack integrations
  • Work within tech stack and assist in troubleshooting issues across platforms
  • Work with Marketing Specialist to utilize metrics and analytics to inform and create optimized user experiences and journeys
  • Assist in optimizing tools and workflows within the marketing department and organization
  • Assist in the process of assessing and transitioning CMS platforms
  • Help design and implement web standard best practices, such as accessibility and GDPR standards
  • Follow data/security best practices and help to maintain standards
  • Assist in staff training and education of web tools and best practices
  • Support and propose solutions for cross-functional tools such as HubSpot, Salesforce, member portal and directories, payment processing software, etc.
  • Work with supervisor to align planned projects to meet work plan goals and metrics
