The Caribbean Biodiversity Fund is seeking a Conservation Finance Technical Officer to provide technical, financial, and programmatic support to its Conservation Finance Programme across the Caribbean. The role supports endowment fund operations, partnership agreements with National Conservation Trust Funds, monitoring and reporting, due diligence, and stakeholder engagement to advance biodiversity conservation and sustainable development in line with regional and global goals.

Job Responsibilities

• Technical contributions and reporting for the Conservation Finance Programme and Endowment Fund.

• Monitoring and implementation support for the Conservation Finance Programme work plan and regional projects.

• Preparation, supervision, and follow-up of partnership agreements with National Conservation Trust Funds.

• Technical and financial due diligence, including tracking indicators and endowment contributions.

• Preparation of payment request packages and supporting documentation.

• Stakeholder engagement, knowledge management, and outreach materials.

• Support for workshops, trainings, monitoring visits, and regional or international events.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a recognized university, or a Bachelor’s degree with an additional five years of relevant experience.

• At least eight years of experience in a similar technical or program management role.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Regional experience working in the Caribbean.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder coordination skills.

• Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

• Capacity to plan and coordinate workshops, trainings, and program-related events.

Technical Skills

• Project and program management, including monitoring, reporting, and budgeting.

• Technical and financial due diligence of grants and partnership agreements.

• Knowledge of biodiversity conservation and environmental finance in the Caribbean.

• Technical proposal and report writing.

• Stakeholder engagement and outreach across multiple countries.
