The National Consultant – NBSAP Biodiversity Monitoring System Consultant will carry out an evaluation of the existing data and knowledge systems regarding biodiversity in Suriname. The role involves assessing the effectiveness of current institutional monitoring systems and frameworks for tracking the status and trends of biodiversity, identifying strengths, weaknesses and gaps, and providing recommendations for improving data collection, analysis, reporting and institutional coordination.

Job Responsibilities

• Evaluate current biodiversity data and knowledge systems in Suriname.

• Assess institutional monitoring frameworks and their effectiveness.

• Identify strengths, weaknesses and gaps in existing systems.

• Recommend improvements for data handling and institutional coordination.
