• An advanced university (Master’s) degree in engineering, environmental science, climate change; geography, natural resource management; is required. Other relevant academic fields may be considered if complemented by substantial experience in management of environment and natural resources.
• At least five (5) years experience in working with government and other stakeholders in the Environmental affairs and/or political economy, development studies or related areas.
• Prior experience in assessing and integrating climate and environmental dimensions is required, and applied within conflict settings is desired.
• Experience in environment and related areas within Palestine.
• Experience in delivering written outputs for government, and intergovernmental audiences.
• Prior experience with and understanding of the UN system and other multilateral actors including International Financial Institutions is desired.
• Familiarity with the Eastern Mediterranean and West Asia region or countries within that region would be an advantage.
