The Global Teams Lead will guide adaptive management practices for TNC’s Global Priority Teams (Protect, Provide, Tackle Climate Change) and the EU region. Positioned within the Conservation Strategy Team (CST), the Lead is responsible for advancing strategy development, implementation and portfolio management to accelerate conservation impact. This includes direct support to conservation teams, strengthening enabling conditions for adaptive strategy work, managing consultants as needed, and collaborating closely with regional leadership and CST counterparts.

Job Responsibilities

  • Build trust with Global Priority Teams and EU leadership, identifying top-priority teams needing adaptive management support.

  • Provide customized coaching, facilitation and training in conservation strategy and implementation.

  • Align support with agile/adaptive management principles and regional/global portfolio processes.

  • Ensure culturally meaningful and context-appropriate support for diverse conservation teams.

  • Measure the value and impact of CST’s support to the Global Teams and EU region.

  • Scale up successful models and expand CST’s value proposition.

  • Facilitate cross-regional learning, experimentation and collaboration.

  • Represent CST in engagements with TNC’s Global Priority Teams and EU region.

  • Support equitable ownership and field-level collaboration for effective operations.

  • Be available for flexible working hours across time zones and international travel as needed.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a project lead role.

  • Strong background in agile methodology and human-centered design.

  • Experience coaching teams in agile environments.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex or multiple projects.

  • Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience in Africa, Asia Pacific, Latin America or Europe.

  • Current residency in a TNC Global Region country where TNC is registered.

  • Flexibility for cross-time-zone work schedules.

  • Self-directed with strong navigation skills in open-ended projects.

  • Deep commitment to equity, justice, diversity and inclusion.

  • Experience or commitment to nature-based solutions addressing climate and biodiversity.

  • Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in conservation, development, innovation or entrepreneurship.

  • Familiarity with systems thinking and organizational change.

  • Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) experience.

  • Use of technology and digital tools for collaboration and learning.

  • High level of accountability and follow-through.

  • Growth mindset and openness to continual adaptation and learning.
