Eligibility Criteria
To ensure successful execution of the project, the consultant must meet the following Minimum Qualifications, with preference given to those who also demonstrate Preferred Qualifications. Minimum Qualifications Proposals must clearly demonstrate that the consultant meets all the following requirements:
1. Relevant Thematic Expertise – Demonstrated experience working at the intersection of Indigenous, local, and Afro-Descendant community land rights and livelihoods, responsible supply chains, and corporate sustainability, particularly in the Global South.
2. Experience with Multi-Stakeholder Mechanisms – Demonstrated experience researching or engaging with mechanisms or platforms for collaboration among diverse stakeholders, particularly private sector actors, rightsholder communities, NGOs, and public institutions.
3. Experience with Private Sector Engagement – Demonstrated experience researching or engaging with companies, investors, or supply chains on initiatives concerning IP, LC, and ADP land rights and livelihoods (e.g., ESAPs, HREDD, landscape administration, etc.).
4. Applied Research and Strategic Analysis – Demonstrated ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into practical, strategic recommendations and tools (e.g., prioritization matrices, stakeholder maps, impact metrics).
5. Deliverable-Based Project Execution – Proven capacity to deliver similar consulting projects on time and within budget, including producing structured deliverables like opportunity assessments, stakeholder analyses, and presentations for high-level forums.
6. Language Proficiency – Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required.
Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are not mandatory but will enhance proposal competitiveness:
1. Familiarity with Relevant Stakeholders – Prior experience working with or within multistakeholder platforms like the Interlaken Group, or with RRI Coalition members and aligned networks.
2. Rightsholder-Led Financing and Partnerships – Experience analyzing or engaging with rightsholder-led financing mechanisms, blended finance models, or public-private partnerships that support (or could support) IP, LC, or ADP rights and livelihoods.
