Description

The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) is seeking a Project Manager to lead the day-to-day management, coordination and delivery of the UK COAST–funded programme across Siquijor, Tawi-Tawi and national learning platforms. The position ensures project activities are delivered on time, within scope and in full compliance with donor and organizational standards. The role will consolidate field implementation, facilitate national learning exchanges and serve as a coordination point between teams, partners and WCS global units.

Job Responsibilities

Project Management and Implementation

  • Provide overall oversight to ensure alignment across all project components.

  • Facilitate regular program meetings to assess performance and implement corrective measures.

  • Consolidate site-level information and share with consortium partners and donors.

  • Prepare donor reports in coordination with the Conservation Impact Unit.

  • Develop and monitor workplans aligned with grant outputs and timelines.

  • Track deliverables, indicators, and mitigate risks including those related to operations and security.

  • Coordinate internal teams for integrated project delivery.

  • Monitor contracts, subgrants and partner deliverables.

National Engagement and Strategic Coordination

  • Lead technical assistance for the National Learning Partnership under UK COAST.

  • Represent WCS Philippines in national donor briefings and coordination meetings.

  • Ensure coherence between field and national objectives.

  • Coordinate technical inputs to inform national-level positioning.

  • Document and report on national engagement outcomes.

Other Duties

  • Organize public forums, consultations and events.

  • Ensure compliance with financial, procurement and record-keeping procedures.

  • Support vendor management and procurement processes.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental management, development studies, social sciences, natural sciences or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience managing donor-funded development, climate or conservation projects.

  • Proven experience with bilateral/multilateral donors (e.g. FCDO, USAID, EU).

  • Familiarity with donor compliance and reporting.

  • Experience working with government, civil society and community-based organizations.

  • Advantageous to have experience in GEDSI, safeguards or rights-based approaches.

  • Excellent written and verbal English skills; Filipino required.

  • Willingness to travel to remote sites.

  • Adaptable, team-oriented, able to work across time zones.
