Conservation International is seeking a strategic leader to oversee its Caribbean Islands programming. The Senior Director will spearhead the design and implementation of the Caribbean Islands Strategy, manage key stakeholder relationships, ensure program compliance, and lead regional conservation efforts that align with CI’s global priorities on climate, biodiversity and oceans.
Key Responsibilities

Lead development, implementation and monitoring of the Caribbean Islands Strategy.

Oversee delivery of high-impact results across CI’s climate, oceans and biodiversity goals.

Collaborate with governments, donors and NGOs across the Wider Caribbean Region.

Align CI’s regional strategy with international policy on biodiversity and marine conservation.

Build and manage stakeholder relationships, donor engagements and regional partnerships.

Provide technical, managerial and strategic oversight for regional projects and staff.

Represent CI externally, including at conferences, learning events and high-level meetings.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in environmental management, international policy or related field.

At least 10 years’ senior-level experience in project or programme management.

Strong understanding of Caribbean regional contexts and global biodiversity frameworks.

Demonstrated skills in intercultural communication and partnership building.

Fluency in English required; Spanish is an advantage.

Willingness to travel and work in remote or challenging locations.
