As part of the Global Communications Team, the Graphic Designer plays a key role in advancing WWF’s mission to protect nature and build a future where people and wildlife can thrive. The role combines creativity, precision, and strategic design thinking to produce impactful visual communications that inspire action and drive positive change. Working across diverse projects and channels, the Designer ensures that all creative outputs reflect WWF’s brand values and the beauty and urgency of our planet.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and execute content and creative work that delivers cut-through and impact for WWF.

  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team of creatives, social media experts, copywriters, and strategists to deliver cohesive and impactful work.

  • Partner with colleagues across the wider WWF network, including other disciplines and external creative partners such as agencies, photographers, directors, and animators, to bring ideas to life and ensure creative excellence.

  • Work closely with the manager to ensure the delivery of high-quality creative outputs.

  • Thrive in a fast pace, deadline-driven environment and always strive to deliver high standard, market-leading work.

  • Develop deep and enduring relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Develop a strong understanding of WWF’s brand and visual identity, ensuring consistency and coherence across all channels and materials.

  • Deliver creative work in line with approved briefs, budgets, and timelines, maintaining quality and attention to detail throughout the process.

  • Attend and contribute to meetings as necessary to support project planning, collaboration, and creative development.

  • Bring a deep understanding of design principles to create thoughtful, impactful, and visually compelling work that supports WWF’s mission.

  • Be proactive and productive, utilise time wisely and look for opportunities to generate new creative work.

  • Contribute to WWF’s broader creative vision, use your insight and experience to help shape internal processes and initiatives and help drive a culture of inter-discipline collaboration.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Design, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar design or creative role.

  • Strong proficiency in relevant design and art software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent).

  • Solid understanding of photography, typography, and digital composition, with the ability to contribute to written and visual content.

  • Motion graphics or animation skills to enhance storytelling and campaign delivery is desirable.

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional design and visual conceptualization skills, with a keen eye for detail and craftsmanship.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high creative standards.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of articulating and demonstrating creative ideas effectively.

  • Proven ability to produce high-quality, market-leading creative work that aligns with strategic objectives.

  • Deep understanding of design principles and current trends in digital, social, and marketing communications.

  • Collaborative mindset with excellent interpersonal and listening skills, able to build strong relationships across teams and functions.

  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a positive, solution-oriented approach to challenges.
