The Soil Management Specialist will support the Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (RAP) in advancing sustainable soil management, including the implementation of RAP’s soil strategy, development of national and regional policies, capacity building, and communications.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft policy briefs and regional soil governance reports.

• Contribute to regional strategies and action plans (e.g., peatlands).

• Improve and support the AP-FIRM platform and its development.

• Design and implement soil-related projects and training materials.

• Produce technical and communication content for awareness.

• Deliver in-person and virtual training and represent FAO at events.

Minimum Requirements

• For category B: At least 5 years of relevant professional experience.

• Proven background in soil governance, land management, or policy.

• Experience in technical writing, capacity development, and data tools.

• Fluency in English. Additional FAO language(s) an asset.
