Description

The University of Wyoming invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor with research expertise in animal movement ecology. The appointment will hold the newly created Knobloch Professorship in Migration Ecology and Conservation and will be hired in the Department of Zoology and Physiology (http://www.uwyo.edu/zoology). Additionally, the appointment will contribute to the Wyoming Migration Initiative (WMI; www.migrationinitiative.org), whose mission is to advance the understanding and conservation of Wyoming’s migratory ungulates.

The successful candidate is expected to build a strong research program in animal movement that strengthens our understanding of the ecology of migratory ungulates and provides new knowledge to advance the conservation and management of migratory herds and their migration corridors. Additionally, they will teach undergraduate and graduate courses within the Zoology and Physiology Department, and provide service to the department, college, and the WMI. Candidates must have a doctoral degree, postdoctoral experience, and evidence of an exceptional research record studying animal movement.
