Description
Based in Montpellier, France, under the supervision of the Team Leader of the Integration & Capacity Development unit, within the Technology Integration department, the Analyst will be responsible for IT support to the Montpellier office and other regional staff. In a nutshell, the Analyst will ensure compliance with institutional standards and policies; maintain excellent customer relations; support ticket management and network infrastructure; and manage the relationship with suppliers.
 
Responsibilities
More precisely, the Analyst will:
  • Work plan development and implementation
  • Support the development, monitoring, review, and update of the IT work plan to ensure that the organization attains its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible
  • Analyze, design, implement, maintain and monitor technological solutions according to the organization’s requirements
  • Systems, policies and procedures management
  • Provide inputs for the development, review, and update of all necessary IT systems, policies and procedures
  • Oversee IT systems (hardware/software, licensing), policies and procedures at the regional/country level to ensure that they are followed by all Alliance staff
  • Support the administration and management of the local network infrastructure, including the Local Area Network (LAN), the Wireless network (Wi-Fi), and research servers
  • Develop and manage a computer maintenance schedule of all IT equipment in the office
  • Staff support
  • Provide staff with orientation and training to help them understand and use effectively the IT systems, policies and procedures of the organization
  • Provide inputs for the identification of the IT capacity strengthening needs of staff
  • Liaise with local service providers and attend IT Meetings to support decision-making
  • Issue resolution
  • Help resolve any hardware and software problems, including 1st level support to the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, for the Montpellier office and other regional stations via remote control
  • Identify and recommend any changes that might be required to improve organization performance
  • Offer technical advice in negotiating contracts with external providers
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
