The Human Resources (HR) Manager is responsible for all aspects of human resources services for a large, matrixed and/or geographically dispersed client group. Specific focus includes talent management, recruitment and hiring of staff, onboarding, training, employee communications, compensation, and performance management.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE
- Oversee the recruitment process for highly skilled staff, including creation of and/or consultation on job descriptions, grade levels and compensation with a focus on increasing diversity and a culture of inclusion.
- Partner with hiring managers and/or an RPO vendor to ensure all recruiting efforts remain on track and are completed in a timely manner.
- Work with hiring managers and local operations staff to develop and conduct new employee orientations to ensure staff are effectively onboarded in a timely manner.
- Support managers and staff with performance partnership matters.
- Collaborates with senior HRBPs to assist with employee relations matters and concerns.
- Ensure that all types of terminations are managed effectively and as per TNC and U.S. and Canadian labor requirements.
- Drive the annual performance management process, ensuring that all staff are trained and aware of due dates.
- Work with the HRBP to assess workforce planning needs and build business unit capacity.
- Communicate personnel-related policies, procedures and programs; ensure the integrity of all personnel-related transactions with accuracy and within deadlines.
- Keep current with relevant employment laws, with a specific focus on Canadian employment law and assist managers and staff with interpretation and compliance.
- Ensure that all recruitment and personnel files are complete and are in compliance with legal requirements and internal policies of TNC.
- Coordinate with Worldwide office Global Mobility team on immigration matters.
- Ensure that all HR administrative paperwork is completed by local operations staff accurately and in a timely manner. May complete and submit HR paperwork as necessary.
- Support managers in talent management interventions for their respective teams.
- Help business units foster an engaging and productive team culture by participating and supporting team building events and activities.
- Engages in the management of HR activities as outlined above outside their assigned geographies on an as needed/requested basis.
- May require some amount of travel domestically and/or internationally and evening and weekend hours.
