Description

The Campaign Manager is responsible for the full range of activities associated with planning and executing a Green Schoolyards Campaign in Los Angeles.  Core responsibilities include but are not limited to, drafting and implementing a campaign plan and budget, overseeing and coordinating efforts of the Los Angeles Living Schoolyards Coalition, working with supporting staff such as an in-house community organizer and administrative assistant, and managing the campaign’s priorities and schedule.

The Campaign Manager will be a key member of the Parks for People – Los Angeles team working to move Green Schoolyards policy through the LAUSD system and support long-term implementation via The Trust for Public Land’s 28×28 initiative.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Green Schoolyards Campaign Manager will be responsible for creating and executing a campaign strategy. This work includes but is not limited to:

  • Develop, plan, coordinate, and implement a large-scale campaign involving diverse team members, partners, and media outlets;
  • Use data and analysis gathered through TPL’s GIS team to support/inform the campaign and make the required adjustments to ensure its focus on outlined goals;
  • Work with partner organizations, elected officials, and school board members to bolster the campaign;
  • Manage the campaign budget and ensure compliance with all election-related regulations;
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with partner organizations and other community-based organizations. Assistance with their community supportive strategies;
  • Work with internal and external marketing professionals to create consistent messaging around the campaign and to develop strategies to persuade others to support the campaign goals.
  • Work collaboratively with internal colleagues in Sacramento to develop consistency in Green Schoolyards policy and planning across California.
  • Coordination of the Los Angeles Living Schoolyards Coalition including organizing overall goals, prioritizing tasks, delegating, and ensuring productivity in a coordinated and organized manner.
