The Junior Finance Analyst provides a variety of routine and non-routine finance and accounting-related tasks for NASCA (Colombia and Ecuador) and PERU business unit´s. Duties may include preparation and processing of accounting forms such as journal entries, verifying the accuracy and coding of journal entry transactions, maintenance of A/P, general ledger and vendor payments, review local books financial statements and similar tasks.
Uses TNC code of conduct and competencies as a baseline to conduct their actions and be an example for others.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE
- Ensure TNC policies and procedures are met.
- Prepare all prior files for the upload of the international payroll template for NASCA and Peru, verification of gross salaries nominals and integrals, accruals to 13th 14th bonus, social security, parafiscal, severance, and extra-bonus, vacation. Coordinate with accounting vendors where needed.
- Check retained earning certificates prepared by accounting vendor
- Prepare IICR´s, journals and batch IICR´s to donors for DFO approval
- Assist the Operations Team with financial information to report to local entities in order to renew TNC’s NGO
- Prepare local books reconciliation and end of period analysis for all countries in the Business Unit´s
- Prepare Internal rent and other G&A budgeting materials
- Perform bank account reconciliations
- Review tax declarations prepared by accounting vendors
- Support internal and external audits
