The Gabon PFP Project Coordinator will provide support to advance management and execution of the Gabon Project Finance for Permanence (PFP) project through the planning and eventual implementation phase of the project, and work closely with the Gabon PFP Project Director and the Project Management team to support all aspects of the day-to-day tasks required for the successful development of the PFP project. Reporting to the Gabon PFP Project Director, the position will be based at the TNC office in Libreville Gabon. No employment visas or assistance is being offered with this position except for the local labor employment requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE

  • Financial responsibility may include working within/managing a budget to complete projects, negotiating, and contracting with vendors, assisting with budget development, and meeting fundraising targets.
  • Gain cooperation from outside parties to accomplish program goals.
  • Ensure program compliance with internal policies and external requirements.
  • Under minimal supervision, makes independent decisions based on analysis, experience, and context.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity in handling confidential information.
  • Coordinate and track multiple project plans and workstreams across teams, track status via a project management software.
  • Oversee document management systems that all PFP Team members can access.
  • Coordinate other key organizational and communications activities (e.g., external contact lists; communications with PFP Steering Committee, Management Team, and Task Leads).
  • Facilitate collection of numerical data and disseminate among teams for analysis and synthesis; specifically, work with partners to collect and validate costing data for financial modelling or other technical analysis.
  • Support logistics of a range of stakeholder meetings and workshops as needed.
  • Work environment may involve exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain; may require travel, following compliance of all established COVID-19 safety protocols.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned by the Gabon PFP Project Director.
