Description

The Agile Team Coach is a new position that will report into the Agile CoE (Center of Excellence) within the IT team and will be essential for supporting Agile transformation activities across IT. The Agile Center of Excellence is also new and is in the process of being established. This role will support the initial setup and scaling of the functions under the CoE.

The individual in this role will work with teams across IT to support the Agile transformation across all of TNC IT. This includes coaching both new and existing Agile teams, proactively and responsively, to assess progress and challenges, ensure continuous improvement and address support requests related to Agile principles, practices and technological tools.

The coach may imbed in teams for a period of time to assess the current state, measure Agile maturity, recommend more Agile ways of working by leveraging existing Agile playbooks and other artifacts and work with the team to implement these recommendations. They may coach and/or facilitate team events and ceremonies, as well as train team members to do so as well.

The Agile Team Coach supports the Agile Center of Excellence (ACoE) and reports to the Agile CoE Director. They collaborate laterally with other IT staff to ensure consistency in Agile processes and may develop ACoE artifacts to support the ongoing Agile transformation and the delivery of greater value across the IT organization.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field and/or combined equivalent of education and experience
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM or PSM) and/or Lean/Kanban
  • 5 years of experience as a business or technical profession in Information Technology or a related field including:
    • 2 years of experience working on Agile teams as an individual contributor, regardless of role
    • 2 years of Team-level Agile Coaching experience, with both Scrum and Kanban teams
  • Experience in communicating effectively with internal and external audiences, including business partners, executives and other key stakeholders
  • Experience working with and coaching Agile teams using modern Agile development practices and tools
  • Expertise in leveraging appropriate quantitative data to guide assessment and improvement opportunities
  • Experience defining, documenting, and managing mid-level complexity release processes
  • Experience using project management techniques and tools
