Description

Required Skills and Experience

Education:

  • Advanced University degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Business Management or a closely related field is required Or
  • A first-level university degree (bachelor’s degree) in a relevant field in combination with an additional two years of qualifying experience will be given due consideration in lieu of the advanced university degree.

Experience:

  • Applicants with Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field of study are not required to have professional work experience. Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) are required to have a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience at the national or international level in environmental finance, accounting, economics, management or related field.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience in collaborating with international and national experts and institutions;
  • Proven knowledge of key software packages (MS Office);
  • Experience working with a multidisciplinary and multicultural team.

Desirable Skills:

  • Exposure to environmental issues or biodiversity is desirable;
  • Previous experience with financial expenditure plan and review is an asset;
  • Experience in engaging multi-stakeholders, including the government;
  • Proven previous experience in drafting and presenting reports on environment related policies;
  • Proven ability in collecting and analyzing financial data, preparing publications, reports and presentations.

Required Language(s):

  • Fluency in Portuguese and good working knowledge of English is required.
