Competencies

PROFESSIONALISM: Knowledge and understanding of theories, concepts and approaches relevant to environmental dimensions of One Health, including upstream prevention such as sustainable ecosystem management and the protection of biodiversity and biological resources. The ability to analyze and interpret data in support of decision-making and convey resulting information to management. Conceptual analytical and evaluative skills to conduct independent research and analysis, including familiarity with and experience in the use of various research sources, including electronic sources on the internet, intranet and other databases. Education

Advanced university degree (master’s degree or equivalent) in the fields of life sciences, environment studies, sustainable development, environment management sector, human, animal or public health, or a related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is desirable.
Work Experience

A minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in project and or programme management is required. Experience in at least two of the following fields, One Health, ecosystem health, biodiversity, health systems, antimicrobial resistance, or related area is desirable. Experience in Asia and the Pacific region, and Regional and Sub-regional bodies is desirable. Experience in environmental programme and projects design, development and implementation using results framework is desirable. Experience working within the United Nations common system or other similar international organizations is desirable. 1 year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable (none if successful YPP or P-1 with a related degree).
