QUALIFICATIONS
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in public policy, international affairs, conservation science, or a development-related field.
- 7 or more years of direct experience in developing and managing non-profit public policy initiatives in the climate space, ideally REDD+, nesting, and carbon market policies.
- Established relationships in the climate change policy community.
- Excellent understanding of the overall policy engagement environment, including understanding of policy processes and strategy for influencing them.
- Demonstrated track record of effective partnership building. Proven ability to engage external partners and stakeholders in governments, bilateral and multilateral institutions, development organizations, and NGOs.
- Strong organization, project management, and prioritization skills. Ability to meet deadlines and manage time and diverse activities.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, including with remote teams. Experienced and confident at high-level meetings, panels, conferences, workshops, events, and presentations.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills (English). Ability to effectively communicate complex information to a diverse audience.
- Fluency in a second language would be beneficial (Japanese, Khmer, Spanish, French, Portuguese).
