Description

The Associate Dispositions Manager provides highly specialized real estate transaction-related services to the Trade Lands Department.

The Associate Dispositions Manager will assist in the management, marketing, and sale of gifts of real estate which are not conservation priorities, which are also known as trade lands. The Associate Dispositions Manager is responsible for researching and making recommendations on the appropriate disposition of a portfolio of properties from the listing process through final sale. This includes identifying and working with agents and other real estate professionals (e.g. surveyors, attorneys, title companies, etc.) to ensure the property is sold in the most efficient manner possible.  They will arrange for and coordinate day-to-day real property management services. They will also coordinate all communications with a variety of internal stakeholders.

Roles and responsibilities for this position include acting independently within broad program goals to prioritize tasks in the absence of specific instructions and exercise independent judgment to identify and solve problems. This role does not supervise any staff, but they may manage work of peers on departmental project teams. The Associate Dispositions Manager will ensure compliance with TNC policies and procedures, and external (donor/legal/IRS) requirements. Financial responsibility includes working within a budget, processing invoices and transfers, and negotiating and contracting with vendors. This position will manage projects with several variables, set realistic deadlines, manage a timeline, ensure accountability, and may provide oversight for a key function of the team. This position will also provide input through project teams for the development and implementation of new initiatives or the improvement of existing programs. The work environment involves only infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain, and this position may require travel and working overtime as needed.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years of experience in the real estate field or equivalent combination.
  • Experience reviewing and editing contracts.
  • Experience coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
