In this role, you will implement a WRI initiative aimed at ensuring countries increase their climate ambition in the lead-up to COP26. You will track steps that countries are taking to enhance nationally determined contributions (NDCs), identify sectoral and other opportunities for countries to strengthen their NDCs and other climate policies, analyze and cultivate synergies among COVID-19 recovery efforts, NDC enhancement, and long-term climate strategies and engage with a wide range of stakeholders to develop strategies to advance climate ambition.

In this role, you will manage day-to-day implementation of WRI’s efforts around these issues, undertake policy research and conduct technical analyses, engage with external experts and policymakers, represent WRI in key alliances, and support fundraising efforts. You will also support work on climate ambition following COP26, potentially including the Global Stocktake.
