The Plenary, in its decision IPBES-12/1, section VI, welcomed with appreciation the report on the midterm review of the rolling work programme of IPBES up to 2030 by the review panel. The full report can be accessed through document IPBES/12/INF/20, available at: IPBES Midterm Review Report

In the same decision, the Plenary requested the IPBES secretariat to issue a call for concrete proposals for implementation in response to the recommendations presented in the report on the midterm review.

In accordance with decision IPBES-12/1, I would like to hereby invite IPBES members, organizations and stakeholders to submit their concrete proposals for the implementation of any of the review recommendations and related implementation options to the secretariat by 5 July 2026 using the submission form available at: IPBES Midterm Review Questionnaire 2026

The Multidisciplinary Expert Panel and the Bureau have been requested by the Plenary to develop a costed proposal for the implementation of the review recommendations, taking into consideration the financial and institutional capacity of IPBES, and to report thereon to the Plenary at IPBES 13. Any submissions by IPBES members, organizations and stakeholders will be taken into account by the Multidisciplinary Expert Panel and Bureau.

• Submit concrete proposals for the implementation of any of the review recommendations and related implementation options.
• Use the submission form provided by the IPBES secretariat.
• Submit proposals to the secretariat by 5 July 2026.
• Contribute information that may be taken into account by the Multidisciplinary Expert Panel and Bureau in developing a costed proposal for the implementation of the review recommendations.
