Description

The Conservation Portfolio Manager for the Caribbean Division will work closely with the Caribbean Division leadership and Science Team to establish clear conservation goals and metrics for the Division and its Geography-based programs and support the implementation of adaptative management processes that quantitatively assess performance on defined objectives at multiple scales. The Manager will be expected to generate, manage, use, and analyze data for, and from, TNC’s central tracking system, the Conservation Hub. The Manager will conduct geospatial analyses, help evaluate resource allocation decisions, design, and implement Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) frameworks that support a variety of projects, develop recommendations for management actions that are aimed at improving performance over time, and ultimately assist the Caribbean Leadership and Board in making decisions that ensure accountability for effective budgeting and execution. This position also works closely with the geography teams and partners on projects spanning a variety of environmental issues such as marine protection and management, climate change adaptation, coral protection and restoration, and sustainable fisheries to gauge the success of actions that are implemented and chart progress towards our 2030 goals.
