Description

We are looking for a person who is personable, enthusiastic, well organised, flexible, good problem solver who thinks fast on their feet in order to implement practical solutions quickly. Tasks may range from budgeting, organising accommodation, venue scouting for events, preparing a welcome guide for the team, looking after non-English speaking guests and travel/visa arrangements, interacting with local authorities, admin support, buying SIM cards or getting a permit from local authorities for an action. 

You will deliver your brief closely with our COP26 Project Manager, Mobilisation Coordinator and 350.org global and regional team members to ensure logistical needs are taken care of for team members and their activities.

Required Traits & Qualifications

  • Past experience carrying out complex logistics, preferably for an international project
  • Ability to think fast on your feet and problem solve in a practical manner
  • Knows Glasgow well and is based in or near Glasgow
  • Experience booking accommodation, meeting rooms 
  • Speaks decent working English
  • Flexible – willing to do whatever it takes to get logistics in order
  • Can-do positive attitude that you bring to everything you do 
  • Demonstrated self initiative 

Desired (but not required) skills and experiences 

  • Knowledge of international climate negotiations; UN Summits and COPs
  • Experience working with cross-cultural and remote teams
  • Has digital organising experience
  • Has action coordination skills
  • Speaks Portuguese
