As the ASEAN region’s hub for biodiversity conservation, the ASEAN Centre for Biodiversity (ACB) has been implementing numerous initiatives that resulted to impacts on various levels, such as the ASEAN Heritage Parks Programme, that has been generating significant outcomes in terms of improving the management and expanding the coverage of protected areas in the ASEAN region. The ACB has also gained a reputable status in both regional and global biodiversity arena as seen in its numerous engagements in strategic partnerships and networks and the increasing number of cooperation projects with key international development partners and ASEAN Cooperation partners. These initiatives have generated a volume of valuable experiences and knowledge, which must be shared with a broader audience in a form that is more useful and effective to inspire discussion, prompt innovation and transformation, and inform decision-making towards biodiversity conservation in the ASEAN region.
To further support the role and mandate of the ACB on biodiversity conservation in the ASEAN region, the Centre intends to develop knowledge products that will be useful among the ASEAN Member States in their planning and decision-making. These knowledge products will be crafted from lessons learned from the outputs of selected programmes and projects of the ACB.
