The IT department at Greenpeace International is seeking an IT Intern to join the team!

This full-time IT Internship is for 6 months, with a hybrid model of remote work and working from the Amsterdam office. The proposed starting date is 1 April 2022.

You should have the ability to learn quickly, be flexible and be able to work outside of your comfort zone. Strong communication skills are a must – ideally you can explain complex technical terms in a simple and clear manner.

As IT Intern you will be working very closely with the local IT team. This team acts as the first point of contact for colleagues with any IT (hardware or software) issues. The team is also responsible for the provision of laptops, implementing new systems and maintaining the office network, among other things. Our experience shows that our interns are able to develop themselves professionally during the internship.

The candidate will have the opportunity to choose their own developmental path. This can take many forms, such as learning a new coding language, gaining experience as a scrum master or becoming a networking guru. This internship will also allow the ideal candidate to explore some exciting new topics that Greenpeace International feels is necessary to further our environmental goals.

The only real requirement is a keen willingness and ability to learn quickly and think outside the box.

Personal attributes you will need:

• Support for and belief in Greenpeace core aims and values.
• Tech savvy with a good understanding of Google Workspace applications (Gmail, Docs, Sheets etc). You have a curiosity and willingness to learn about applications and systems.
• Ability to work independently and with strong initiative.
• Self-confident, focused, pro-active and result-oriented.
• ‘Can do’, flexible approach, friendly and people-focused, even when working in a fast moving, sometimes chaotic environment.
