Latin America Digital Campaigner (Temporary)

Type of offer:

The digital campaigner will engage a diverse public from Latin America with climate activism, by telling compelling stories about our campaigns and the broad grassroots movement working to break the links between our institutions and the fossil fuel industry. The person will develop and execute digital strategies for’s Latin American campaigns as well as to implement regional digital strategies in alignment with global digital objectives

The main responsibilities for this role are:

  • Develop, implement, monitor and evaluate digital campaign plans and strategies, taking into account’s campaign goals;
  • Use digital strategies and tools to pressurise campaign targets and achieve campaign goals;
  • Establish and manage cyber-activists to meet’s national-level campaign objectives and build a broader, deeper and more committed movement;
  • Facilitate digital campaigning workshops and leadership development for climate change campaigners;
  • Identify opportunities and implement strategic online campaigns to grow’s audience and mailing list, and increase engagement;
  • Content production, management and updating of the Portuguese and Spanish website of;
  • Manage and monitor all social media channels, publishing engaging and compelling content, in relation to campaign plans,
  • Craft emails and other web content to support campaigns in voice.

Public Engagement:

  • Understand’s history, campaigns, and theory of social change, and keep updated with basic climate science and policy. From time to time, use this knowledge to represent’s perspective in varied public venues based on geographic location and areas of expertise
