Description

The Legal Compliance Specialist manages conservation databases and monitoring systems related to legal requirements, internal policies, and stewardship activities and supports the Land Management Team in resolving legal issues and violations on TNC land interests in Pennsylvania and Delaware.

The Legal Compliance Specialist provides expertise and support to the Pennsylvania/Delaware (PADE) business unit in complying with legal requirements and internal policies for TNC real estate interests (including fee-owned properties and conservation easements). They build, maintain, and quality-control geospatial and tabular data related to TNC land interests and stewardship activities (including prescribed fire) and also provide technical support and training for land stewards. The Legal Compliance Specialist works closely with TNC legal staff and other colleagues at many levels in multiple functions and departments to coordinate resolutions of legal issues on fee-owned lands and easement violations.
