FPP is looking for a committed, dedicated, determined and motivated person with a wide working experience at community and grassroots level, including in the Amazon area. This person must be available to start working as soon as possible, and join our team in Colombia to support the management and administration of FPP projects with indigenous peoples, Afro-Colombian and other local forest dependent communities in the country. The role will involve technical and financial advice, and the administration of projects and grants implemented jointly by FPP with indigenous, Afro-Colombian and smallholder organisations in the north and central-western part of Colombia, the Chocó region, northern Cauca and the eastern lowlands of the country (Amazonia). The administrator will work 4 days a week with local partners, FPP Project Officer in Colombia and international policy advisors and consultants working in our Colombia team. The candidate will be task managed by FPP’s Responsible Finance Programme Coordinator and Colombia programme focal point.
The successful candidate must have at least 5 years of experience working in the field with indigenous, ethnic and local communities and organisations in Colombia. He/she will also have a good knowledge and proven capacity to manage projects and grants with grassroots organisations, and will have the associated administrative and financial skills. The candidate must be a competent Spanish speaker, with proven skills in spoken and written Spanish. Proficiency in spoken and written English is an additional requirement for this position.
