The purpose of this consultancy is to support the implementation of the project for the development of an electric mobility project “Rapid implementation of the NDC (Nationally Determined Contribution) of Mexico”. The objective of the project is the structuring of one to three pilot projects of electric mobility in public transport aligned with the objectives established in the National Electric Mobility Strategy of Mexico (yet to be published).

The consultant must develop the following activities in cooperation with the technical consultant and in accordance with the guidelines and work guide provided by the Project Manager of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), in consultation and collaboration with the General Directorate of Climate Change Policies in SEMARNAT (Secretary of the Environment and Natural Resources).

It is expected that the consultant has relevant knowledge and experience in the transport sector, so that he or she can offer advice to the corresponding national authorities; as well as developing and guiding the development of technical studies for the evaluation of the incorporation of public transport vehicles in the selected systems.

This consultancy will be in coordination with a coordination consultant that will be responsible of the administrative support as well as guidance for the development of the methodologies, technical reports guidance, and full responsible for the stakeholder’s relationship.
