Senior Science & Partnership Fellow

Sr. Science & Partnership Fellow, Nature-Based Solutions focuses, Hong Kong on developing science-based research framework and academic partnerships that assess NBS potential in Hong Kong and GBA, and providing policy analysis to influence public policy and/or corporate practice priorities to advance NBS actions. The Fellow builds and facilitates internal & external networks, identifies Hong Kong government funding initiatives and develops and implements strategies that promote biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration in relation to climate.  The Fellow reports to the Director of Strategic Partnerships, and works closely with the Hong Kong conservation team and counterparts across TNC, particularly with the global and China natural climate solutions strategy and science teams, to share knowledge and experience, and promote consolidated effort on NBS to advance TNC’s Shared Conservation Agenda.


  • Develop and implement proposals to assess NBS mitigation potential and resilience benefits in HK and throughout GBA, with a focus on coastal wetlands and forest habitats, that is aligned with the scope of the TNC HK conservation program’s strategic goals.
  • Develops strategic partnerships with relevant agencies, academic partners, conservation organizations, and/or industries.
  • Provides research and policy analysis in support of legislative, corporate, and/or policy priorities.
  • Influences the outcome of policy and/or corporate initiatives at local and regional levels.
  • Develop work plans, manage grants, contracts, and project budgets.
  • May prepare program materials including presentations, memos, and other communications.
  • May supervise administrative staff and/or volunteers, interns, or temporary staff.
  • Ensures program compliance with internal policies and external requirements.
  • May work flexible schedule and travel frequently throughout the GBA. Works independently, working with the supervisor as needed.
