Description

The Sr. Global Benefits Specialist primarily supports global benefits administration (Non-US and US), including global retirement plan oversight and 457(b) administration, regional support, leave law and labor law relative to benefits monitoring and support, market reviews, and global worker’s compensation oversight. In addition, this position will manage outreach with local operations staff, support new geographies and countries adding health & wellness plans, ensure compliance related responsibilities are achieved, and provide ad hoc project management support. The Sr. Global Benefits Specialist is part of a team that provides global HR operations support services to a global organization of over 4000 employees in 40 countries and growing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

The Sr. Global Benefits Specialist is responsible for providing human resources services in global benefits administration that requires critical thinking and project management. This position is responsible for administering and maintaining HR systems, programs, procedures and plans according to HR policies and will provide assistance to all levels of personnel on various HR-related issues and requests

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE

  • Serve as a main point of contact and subject matter expert for global benefits related inquires.
  • Responsible for oversight of global benefit plans, including collaboration with internal stakeholders and outside vendors.
  • Respond to moderately complex questions from all levels of personnel and solve problems based on advanced knowledge of aspects applicable to the subject area.
  • Provide excellent customer service and consistently demonstrate professional demeanor, as well as discretion and sensitivity in handling confidential information.
  • Responsible for managing global benefits renewals and keeping appropriate parties informed.
  • Responsible for managing global benefits contracts, managing vendor engagements, and holding vendors accountable to high standards.
  • Responsible for global benefits related account reconciliations.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and flexibility when interpreting and analyzing complex information and providing recommendations.
  • Complete multiple and variable responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Act independently based on subject matter expertise and escalate issues and unusual problems to supervisor.
  • Use complex communication skills to effectively educate and influence.
  • Analyze information effectively and coordinate with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Perform various audits, keep partners informed through various outreach efforts and improve processes in response to challenging circumstances.
  • Maintain global benefits tracking, process documentation, and records.
  • Other ad hoc projects or work as directed by your supervisor.
  • Manages projects according to our policies and protocols.
  • Work virtually and flexibly with hours to accommodate global time zones.
  • Work environment involves infrequent exposure to disagreeable elements and minor physical exertion and/or strain.
