Overview

Grenada’s ecosystems include dry woodland zones, mangrove swamps, coral reefs, seagrass beds, beaches, lagoons and cactus shrubland.

  • Under BES-Net II, the country has received support to promote the engagement of Indigenous Peoples and local communities in its assessment process, supported by UNEP-WCMC and with technical backstopping by UNESCO to support the engagement of Indigenous Peoples and local communities in the assessment process.
  • Grenada validated its technical report at the end of 2023 and will receive catalytic support under BES-Net II’s BES Solution Fund to promote the uptake of national ecosystem assessment recommendations.
