Foster Participation
We promote the active involvement of young people and emerging professionals in knowledge production and decision-making processes. BES-Net works to include youth in Regional Trialogues, national ecosystem assessments and other key platforms, so their perspectives help shape biodiversity and ecosystem services science, policy and practice.
Build Networks and Share Knowledge
BES-Net offers a space where young people can connect with a wide range of partners, including universities, youth organizations and experienced practitioners. By leveraging our network, we provide support for youth to learn from peers and mentors and to share their research and ideas with a wider audience.
Include Diverse Voices
Across its work, BES-Net encourages the participation of young people from diverse backgrounds, including those from Indigenous, rural and underrepresented communities, and supports their growth as future practitioners and leaders in the fields of biodiversity conservation and ecosystem services management.
