The SADC Transfrontier Conservation Areas (TFCA) Network will host a webinar focused on advancing gender equity in conservation across transboundary landscapes.
The session will explore how conservation initiatives can move beyond gender inclusion toward gender-transformative approaches by strengthening equity in governance structures, expanding women’s economic opportunities and livelihoods, embedding safeguards in conservation programming and building climate resilience through inclusive practices.
Organized with the support of the German Government and the European Union in Botswana and implemented by GIZ, the webinar aligns with regional and international efforts to promote inclusive governance, climate action and biodiversity protection.
The event is relevant for conservation practitioners, policymakers and organisations working in transboundary conservation and gender-responsive environmental governance.
