The GBIF Asia Regional Support Team is organizing a two-day virtual workshop to strengthen capacity in using the GBIF data infrastructure for biodiversity research and policy applications. The course is tailored for researchers and technicians working in biodiversity or policy institutions who currently use, or wish to begin using, GBIF-mediated data in their analyses.
The programme will cover the Darwin Core Standard and GBIF.org, data quality, and data processing workflows including API use, automation and R-based pipelines. Sessions will run from 06:00 UTC each day and last approximately three hours. Participants attending both sessions will receive a certificate of attendance.
With up to 25 places available, priority will be given to individuals with immediate data needs, educators integrating GBIF into curricula, data publishers within the GBIF network and those committed to disseminating knowledge within their institutions or projects.
