The Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) invites members, observers and stakeholders to join a webinar on knowledge generation catalysis. The session will highlight knowledge gaps identified in the recently completed Nexus and Transformative Change Assessments and provide an overview of general knowledge needs for the upcoming spatial planning and connectivity assessment (to be finalized in 2027) and the second global assessment of biodiversity and ecosystem services (to be finalized in 2028).
Assessment experts will present key knowledge and data gaps, followed by an interactive discussion with participants aimed at catalyzing efforts to address these gaps. The webinar will also provide insights into the process and timelines of the forthcoming assessments, as well as opportunities for governments and stakeholders to contribute.
