The Native Women’s Association of Canada is hosting a webinar exploring how Indigenous women sustain biodiversity through Traditional Ecological Knowledge, daily practices, livelihoods and cultural traditions.
The session will feature Valérie Courtois, Executive Director of the Indigenous Leadership Initiative, and Shianne McKay, Co-Executive Director of the Centre for Indigenous Environmental Resources. Drawing on extensive experience in Indigenous-led conservation and environmental governance, the speakers will highlight how land-based practices and community-driven approaches support biodiversity conservation on land and in water.
Designed as a space for Indigenous women in all their diversity to connect and share knowledge, the webinar will also offer simultaneous English–French interpretation.
