Cambodia is among the 12 countries supported by UNEP-WCMC to build capacities at the national level to undertake the national ecosystem assessments, identify country’s ecosystems requiring particular attention and supporting the uptake of the assessments into decision-making. The NEA is expected to raise awareness of biodiversity values and improve information systems that characterize the linkages between the environment and society, most of which are yet to permeate decision-making.
