This webinar focused on how cities can utilize green and blue (water) spaces and the ecosystem services they provide to increase resilience. Practical examples of blue-green infrastructure were shared along with strategies for integrating ecosystem based adaptation approaches into city plans and policies. Nico Tillie from the City of Rotterdam discussed blue-green infrastructures in Rotterdam and how they contribute to a holistic resilience approach. Iwona Wagner from the University of Łódź and European Regional Centre for Ecohydrology UNESCO in Poland expanded upon the role of the Blue-Green Network approach and how it can be integrated into strategic urban planning documents.
