Abstract

The OECD is organising and participating in several events ahead of and during the second part of the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee to develop an international, legally binding treaty to end plastic pollution (INC-5.2) in Geneva, Switzerland.

Following is a schedule of key activities.

Engaging with the OECD at INC-5.2

Beating Plastic Pollution: Solutions Day  | 08:30-17:30 CEST

This event will convene leaders from government, business, civil society and academia, who are advancing concrete solutions to beat plastic pollution and to improve the state of the world.

The event will host high-level sessions, interactive roundtables, and expert dialogues focused on key enablers for national and global progress, from financing and data to inclusive national action and systems change scenarios.

Host: The Financing Coordination Group (comprising The Circulate Initiative, UNEP FI, the World Bank Group, the OECD and the World Economic Forum), jointly with WRAP, Common Seas, University of Portsmouth, World Bank Group and the World Economic Forum
