Wetlands International will host the launch webinar for Global Mangrove Watch 4.1, the latest version of the global mangrove monitoring platform developed to support the protection, management and restoration of mangrove ecosystems.
The webinar will introduce new features and enhanced capabilities of the platform, which provides more detailed information to support governments, scientists, investors, park managers, project planners and local communities working on mangrove conservation and restoration. Participants will gain an overview of how the updated platform can strengthen monitoring, planning and decision-making for mangrove ecosystems.
Featured speakers include Thomas Worthington (Global Mangrove Watch), Daniel Friess (Tulane University), Edmond Kuto (Wetlands International East Africa), Pete Bunting (Aberystwyth University) and Kate Longley-Wood.
The Global Mangrove Watch is managed by Wetlands International in partnership with The Nature Conservancy, soloEO and Aberystwyth University, with support from the Postcode Loterij, Oak Foundation, CoMON Foundation and Dob Ecology.
