Organized by the CBD Secretariat as part of its Communities of Practice Webinar Series, this session will examine biodiversity finance priorities and partnerships in the lead-up to COP17 in Yerevan, Armenia.
Building on discussions and lessons from COP16 in Cali, Colombia, the webinar will bring together experts, practitioners and institutions to explore how financial flows can better align with biodiversity goals under the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. Discussions will also focus on partnerships, finance-related implementation efforts and coordinated action ahead of COP17.
Expected outcomes include:
• Shared reflections on biodiversity finance lessons from COP16.
• Identification of partnership and collaboration opportunities.
• Discussion of stakeholder contributions toward COP17 preparations.
